MAX STAVRON - BIO and CV:

Max Stavron's significance to Les Paul, Tom Doyle, Doyle Coils pickups, and TIME MACHINE Les Paul Relics is centered on his dynamic business partnership with Tom Doyle, and his efforts to promote the legacy and related products of both figures.
Les Paul and Tom Doyle: Relationship: Max Stavron is Tom Doyle's longtime friend, confidant, business manager, and partner in several ventures. Tom Doyle was Les Paul's personal guitar builder, tech, repairman, soundman, and co-inventor for over 45 years.
Introduction to Les Paul: Tom Doyle introduced Max Stavron to Les Paul in the early 1980s, allowing Stavron to visit Les Paul's house and attend his shows.
"The Man Behind the Man": Stavron has been credited as the driving force behind Tom Doyle's stepping out from "behind the shadows" to ensure the world knows about Doyle's role with Les Paul.
Doyle Coils & TIME MACHINE Les Pauls: Doyle Coils TRU-CLONES PAF Humbuckers: Stavron is the originating partner and Vice President of Operations for the Doyle Coils TRU-CLONES PAF Humbucker Pickup Company. He and Tom Doyle "cracked the code" to complete what is described as Les Paul's final dream and project: a clean, clear, articulate humbucker pickup.
TIME MACHINE Les Paul Relics: Stavron and Tom Doyle have been working together on their Limited Edition Tom Doyle TIME MACHINE Relic Historic Aged Series of Les Paul guitars, which are authentic aged recreations of a 1959 Les Paul "Burst" featuring the Doyle Coils pickups.
Les Paul's Personal & Historical Guitars: Les Paul's Original 1954 Black Beauty Custom: Max Stavron was instrumental and the driving force behind bringing Les' Original 1954 Black Beauty Custom to the world. He worked closely with Tom Doyle to help put together the marketing campaign for its auction at Guernsey's in February 2015. At the time, Stavron was also stated to be a shareholder and co-owner in this and other major pieces.
Les Paul's Personal 1952 Gibson Goldtop aka "Number One": Max Stavron was the co-owner, and project manager/producer of the Les Paul's personal 1952 Gibson Goldtop, "NUMBER ONE," which was auctioned at Christie's in the Fall of 2021. He was the driving force behind its promotions, marketing, media coverage, and auction at Christie's in New York… The historical icon fetched just short of a million dollars.
Les Paul’s 50th Anniversary Autobiography White Custom: Max Stavron is the head curator and co-owner of the famous 50th Anniversary White Custom Guitar featured on Les Paul’s one and only autobiography titled, “Les Paul ~ In His Own Words”. The guitar was Les’ favorite in his later life because to Les, it symbolized his vindication with Gibson and the world at large when they initially laughed at his idea for the solid body electric guitar. For Les Paul, it was his “Lifetime Achievement Award”. Stavron, Tom Doyle, and the co-author of Les’ book are working together to auction the piece to the right potential collector and Les Paul aficionado.
