Tom Doyle's Legacy: The Keeper of the Flame

Tom Doyle's legacy is defined by his profound and intimate relationship with Les Paul himself, spanning almost five decades. He was Les Paul's:

• Personal Luthier and Technician: For over 45 years, right up until Les Paul's passing, Doyle was the man Les Paul relied on to repair and rebuild his guitars after constant experimentation. He was the one who kept "The Master's" instruments playing.

• Confidant and Co-Inventor: He worked side-by-side with Les Paul as a soundman, engineer, co-inventor, and sounding board, refining and redefining what an electric guitar could sound like.

• The Source of Authentic Tone: This direct, unparalleled experience and knowledge of Les Paul's own gear, modifications, and pursuit of "that sound in his head" is the foundation of his work today.

Doyle's modern contribution is the “TIME MACHINE” series and his Doyle Coils TRU-CLONES PAF Humbuckers. These creations represent:

• Authentic Replication: His team meticulously ages and relics Custom Shop Reissue Les Pauls to recreate the look, feel, and sound of the rare, heavily played, late '50s vintage originals.

• The Final Ingredient: The Doyle Coils Humbuckers are the culmination of Les Paul's final pickup project, built with the knowledge gained from a half-century of collaboration to deliver the true essence of the original PAF tone.

In short, Tom Doyle is considered a walking, talking encyclopedia of the Les Paul legacy, offering a direct connection to the guitar's creator and his groundbreaking work.

And that is why everyone who plays one of these amazing creations call it...
